was it like being asked to speak on the main stage? It's a pretty big deal.

Well, I've I've been, I'm a big defender of the constitution. I feel our republic is hanging by a thread, and it's wonderful to see an organization like Turning Point getting people, especially younger people, involved in defending the our Republican heritage.

Alexander Spellane: 00:39

Absolutely. How are you supporting the truth movement right now, And how are how can other people actively do that? And, what do you think the, conservative calling is at this point?

Patrick Byrne: 00:48

Well, to me, the true I even think in terms of left and right. At this point, it's just the truth. Just all we want is the truth movement, like the truth about what happened on November 3, 2020, things like that. And I really think that this we're through a soft coup as a country, and that soft coup includes a huge amount of lying. So really we just have to get rid of the lies, get to the truth about some things, and Americans will know what the right thing to do.

We spoke on a panel together recently, and I think one of the questions was really, what conservatives can do to really protect themselves against some of this backlash and deep state attacks on conservative companies. How do you think owning gold can help empower conservatives?

Patrick Byrne: 01:33

Well, the cause of gold has always been tied up with limited government and freedom. Authoritarians don't like gold. They want fiat money because they wanna be able to write something on a piece of paper and create more money. If if your money is gold, there's no piece of paper they can sign to create more gold, so they hate

it. Absolutely.

And I've been de banked across the banking system, but until I found some small patriotic banks that took me, and I've moved moved all my wealth into Bitcoin and gold, gold and silver. I love gold and silver at this point. I think it's they're both way undervalued, and when things reprice Oh, yeah. Yeah. And just in general, I think our when things reprice Oh, yeah.

general, I think our banking system is on it's tottering along on its last legs. You want physical gold, and you wanna possess physical gold and you wanna possess it somewhere safe.

Absolutely. So I know you've, had a lot of business changes, and I know you initially got your claim to fame with this being, the founder of Overstock, which is huge. What do you think other companies can do to just support this conservative movement, and how can they really fight back?

Patrick Byrne: 02:43

Don't get blocked. There's far more of pro freedom people out there than you think. They wanna make you feel like you're isolated and a dinosaur. It's not true. There's the the bulk of Americans aren't cool with what's happening.

So don't let them bluff you out of the game.

with that. What are your plans for 2024 and what can we expect in the new year to come?

Well, I just filed a federal action regarding Jack Smith a week ago. And I'm gonna be supporting that and some other lawsuits that deal with election integrity.
